I am absolutely delighted to welcome you to Arlecdon School. As Teaching Head, I bring over 30 years of experience in education, including more than 20 years in teaching, across a wide range of schools and childcare settings. It is a privilege to lead such a vibrant and nurturing learning community.
Arlecdon is a small school with a big heart. Our beautiful grounds provide a peaceful and inspiring environment that is truly conducive to learning. We are proud to offer a creative curriculum that embraces outdoor learning, encouraging children to explore, discover, and grow in confidence and curiosity.
One of the many strengths of our school is our small class sizes, which allow us to provide highly personalised learning experiences. Every child is known, valued, and supported to reach their full potential — both academically and personally.

I’m Tanya Peers, Executive Headteacher of Arlecdon Primary School. I feel exceptionally fortunate to lead this wonderful school, which sits at the heart of a close-knit village community. My journey in education began over 20 years ago, and my passion for teaching, children, and community continues to drive everything I do at Arlecdon.
Arlecdon is a vibrant and nurturing school where every child is known, valued and supported. We have high expectations and tailor learning to ensure each child achieves their potential – and beyond. Our aim is to foster a lifelong love of learning, and we put our children’s happiness at the centre of everything we do.
Core subjects are a vital part of our curriculum, but we also understand the importance of developing children’s interests across all areas. Our staff are passionate about providing opportunities for children to explore the world around them, learn new languages, engage with the arts, and participate in a wide variety of sports and enrichment activities.
We work hard to prepare our children for their future education, raise aspirations, and broaden horizons. We nurture resilient learners who face new challenges with confidence and excitement. We also focus on developing social conscience, appreciation of diversity, and an understanding of the positive impact they can have on society.
