Pupil Leadership

At Arlecdon Primary School we truly value the thoughts and opinions of all of the children and there are a number of ways in which children can contribute to make our school the best it can be.

These include:

Head Pupil

Deputy Head Pupils

Team Captains

We want to help to prepare our pupils for the world of work and support them in developing their aspirations and confidence and their organisation and leadership skills for the future. To be in one of the above roles we model the process of applying for a job, and ask that pupils consider the job description, complete an application form and experience an interview.

Our leaders promote our school values of Growth Mindset, Effort, Manners and Success.

We also have our school council;

A new school council is elected each year, with every class from Reception to Y6 electing representatives. This creates a central group that speaks on behalf of the whole school and makes decisions about school life. We value the opinions of our pupils and the School Council gives pupils a forum to share these opinions with the Headteacher and other members of staff.

Mrs Robson is our School Leadership Lead.
