My name is Steve, I’m originally from Burnley in Lancashire, from the age of 18 I spent 14 years in the military serving all over the world. When I left the military, I went back to College to study electrical engineering. I have since worked as a Radiometric systems engineer at Sellafield, my hobbies are motorcycles and golf.

I am Mrs Rowlands and I am an experienced School Business Leader with specialisms in HR, finance and leadership development. I regularly support schools in Cumbria and beyond as a School Resource Management Advisor and champions for disadvantaged students as both a governor and school leader.
Mrs H Finlay
I have been working in education since 2006 when I started to work as a Teaching Assistant in a large local primary school after a career in Local Government revenues and rating. I later completed my Teacher training and joined Arlecdon Primary School in 2017 initially teaching Years 3 and 4 and then moving to teach Early Years in 2018. I am currently the English, Early Years, History and Geography lead. I have a passion for Early Years teaching and ensuring that children are given the strongest start and opportunities to develop their knowledge and skills in all areas to allow them to continue onto the next stage of their education.

My name is Lara Robson, I am the Headteacher at Arlecdon Primary School. I am immensely proud of our fantastic pupils and I am passionate about ensuring all pupils have the best opportunities to succeed whilst always being happy and safe at school. My passion carries through as a governor for Arlecdon and Thornhill Primary schools, always striving for a great education for all pupils at both schools.

I am currently the Headteacher at Frizington Nursery School and take the lead on Curriculum, Safeguarding and Special Educational Needs. I moved to Cumbria in January 2023 with my partner and little girl Hallie. We love the outdoor life, and enjoying hiking, wild swimming and kayaking. In my previous role I was an Assistant Headteacher of a large Primary School, taking on the roles of Early Years Lead, SENDCo and Designated Safeguarding Lead. My passion in education lies within Early Years education and Special Educational Needs and I have over 15 years of teaching and leadership experience. I also have had the pleasure of being a staff governor for over 8 years.
